Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa
Discover the healing waters of Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa

"The oldest tourist attraction in the Black Hills — naturally warm mineral springs since 1890."
Evans Plunge Mineral Springs has been welcoming visitors to the Black Hills of South Dakota since 1890, making it the oldest tourist attraction in the region. The facility is fed by a natural thermal spring that pumps 5,000 gallons of warm mineral water per minute into the main pool, maintaining a constant 87°F year-round. Beyond the main pool, Evans Plunge offers water slides (Jet Slide, Whale Slide, Kids Frog Slide, and Outdoor Slide), swing rings, water basketball and volleyball, two hot tubs, a sauna, steam room, and a full health club with weight and cardio rooms. It's a beloved family destination and a piece of living Black Hills history.
Established in 1890, Evans Plunge was originally developed as a bathhouse resort taking advantage of the natural warm springs discovered by settlers in the area. The facility has continuously operated for over 130 years, surviving economic downturns, ownership changes, and the rise and fall of the spa resort era. Today it remains a community institution and one of South Dakota's most visited natural attractions.

Evans Plunge Mineral Springs exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
