"Appalachian Hot Springs on the French Broad River"
Hot Springs Resort & Spa sits in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina, where natural mineral springs feed private outdoor jetted tubs set along the banks of Spring Creek and the French Broad River. The Appalachian Trail passes directly through the town of Hot Springs, making this a beloved stop for thru-hikers and weekend soakers alike. The resort offers private riverside tub sessions in a lush forest setting.
Hot Springs (originally called Warm Springs) has been a resort destination since the early 1800s. The area was a popular retreat for wealthy Southerners before the Civil War. The current resort continues that tradition in a more accessible, nature-focused format.

The Appalachian Trail runs right through town — book a tub session at the end of a day hike on the AT for the ultimate trail reward. The riverside tubs at night with fireflies in summer are magical.
Hot Springs Resort & Spa exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
