Thermopolis Hot Springs State Park
The World's Largest Mineral Hot Spring — Free to Soak
"Wyoming's Premier Geothermal Retreat"
Saratoga Hot Springs Resort sits on the banks of the North Platte River in the high plains of Wyoming, where the Hobo Pool — a free, undeveloped hot spring — has been a local gathering place for generations. The resort offers upgraded amenities while the town maintains its free public pool, making Saratoga a rare destination where luxury and accessibility coexist.
The Shoshone people used these springs for healing. The town of Saratoga grew around the springs in the 1880s, named after the famous New York spa town. The Hobo Pool has been free to the public since the town's founding.

The free Hobo Pool is genuinely excellent — 114°F water in an outdoor setting with the North Platte River nearby. Don't skip it just because it's free.
Saratoga Hot Springs Resort exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
