"32 Mineral Pools in the Shadow of the San Juans"
Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa features over 40 unique water features including 32 natural mineral soaking pools (19 family-friendly, 13 adult-only), a 25-meter resort-style swimming pool, 5 private Japanese cedar 'Ofuro' soaking tubs, 2 cold plunges, a reflexology walking path, and a signature mineral water rain tower. Located 8 miles north of historic downtown Durango in the scenic Animas Valley, the resort uses the AquaGen system to infuse all pools with nano-meter oxygen bubbles — making it the only hot springs in the world to do so. The mineral water is naturally free of sulfuric odor.
The Durango area sits atop significant geothermal activity tied to the ancient volcanic history of the San Juan Mountains. The current resort, located at the historic Trimble Hot Springs site, opened with a modern design-forward vision, bringing a world-class hot springs experience to a region already famous for the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Purgatory Ski Resort.

Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
