23 Pools on the Banks of the San Juan River

"The World's Largest Outdoor Hot Springs Pool"
Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is home to the world's largest outdoor mineral hot springs pool, stretching two city blocks long. Fed by the Yampah Spring, which pumps 3.5 million gallons of geothermal water daily, the resort has been a Colorado landmark since 1888. The main pool maintains a comfortable 90°F while the therapy pool reaches a steaming 104°F.
The Ute people first used these springs for healing ceremonies. In 1888, entrepreneur Walter Devereux developed the site into a grand resort, constructing the iconic sandstone bathhouse that still stands today. The resort has hosted presidents, celebrities, and millions of visitors over its 135-year history.

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
