"Soaking in the Switzerland of America"
Nestled in a dramatic box canyon in the San Juan Mountains, Ouray's hot springs pool is surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks on three sides. The town of Ouray — nicknamed the 'Switzerland of America' — has been a hot springs destination since the 1880s. The modern pool complex features multiple pools with stunning canyon views.
Ouray's geothermal waters were first developed commercially in 1926. The current pool facility was completely rebuilt in 2018, combining modern amenities with the town's Victorian mining heritage.

Ouray Hot Springs Pool exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
