Glenwood Hot Springs Resort
The World's Largest Outdoor Hot Springs Pool
"16 Soaking Pools on the Colorado River"
Iron Mountain Hot Springs offers sixteen intimate soaking pools perched directly on the banks of the Colorado River, with Glenwood Canyon rising dramatically behind. Unlike the large resort pool nearby, Iron Mountain is designed for quiet, contemplative soaking. Each pool holds just a few people, creating an intimate atmosphere with unobstructed river and mountain views.
Opened in 2015, Iron Mountain was designed to complement rather than compete with the historic Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. The modern facility was built with sustainability in mind, using natural stone and minimizing visual impact on the canyon landscape.
Eight pools right at river's edge, varying temperatures
Six elevated pools with canyon panoramas
Larger family-friendly pool with gentle temperature
Book the last time slot (8 PM entry) for the most romantic experience — pools are lit softly and the canyon walls glow.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
