"Panoramic San Luis Valley Views from 108°F Pools"
Joyful Journey Hot Springs sits in the wide-open San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, with 360-degree views of the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan mountain ranges from its soaking pools. Three pools ranging from 98°F to 108°F offer different soaking experiences, and the remote valley location means some of the darkest skies in Colorado for nighttime soaking. The atmosphere is peaceful, unhurried, and genuinely off-the-beaten-path.
The springs have been known to locals for generations. The current small resort has operated since the 1990s, maintaining a simple, nature-first philosophy that keeps the experience authentic and uncrowded.

The San Luis Valley has the darkest skies in Colorado — the nighttime soak here with the Milky Way overhead and the Sangre de Cristos silhouetted against the stars is one of the most memorable experiences in the state.
Joyful Journey Hot Springs exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
