The World's Largest Outdoor Hot Springs Pool
"Clothing-Optional Wilderness Springs Managed by a Land Trust"
Valley View Hot Springs is a clothing-optional natural hot springs retreat managed by the Orient Land Trust, a nonprofit conservation organization. Multiple pools are scattered across a hillside with sweeping views of the San Luis Valley, ranging from a large warm pond to small intimate pools at higher temperatures. The property emphasizes conservation, Leave No Trace ethics, and a quiet, contemplative atmosphere.
The springs have been used for centuries. The Orient Land Trust acquired the property to protect it from commercial development, and today manages it as a low-impact natural retreat that funds conservation of the surrounding landscape.

Reservations are required and spots fill up weeks in advance — book early. The hike up to the upper pools at sunrise, when steam rises from the water against the morning light, is worth the early alarm.
Valley View Hot Springs exceeded every expectation. The water temperature was perfect and the setting is stunning. We arrived early to beat the crowds — highly recommend doing the same.
Loved the mineral pools and the views. It does get crowded on Saturday afternoons so try to go mid-week if you can. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean.
